We aim to promote cybersecurity expertise through education and competition.

Who Are We?

We are a group of UVA students interested in software, network, hardware, and application security. We engage in security competitions as a club, host interesting speakers, develop security tools and challenges, and leverage industry connections.

How Do I Join?

CNS is open to anyone, regardless of major or cybersecurity experience. There is no application or fee required to be a general body member of our club. Just check out what we're doing and show up!

Divisions

CNS consists of three divisions.

Cyber Defense Division

The Cyber Defense Division protects computers, networks, and applications from cyber attacks through hardening and incident response.

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part or an agency of the University of Virginia. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization's contracts, acts or omissions.
